Lifesaver: Can Aromatherapy Ease Test Anxiety?

Many students suffer from anxiety during tests that negatively affects their performance. So this pilot study wanted to see if rosemary or lavender aromatherapy done before starting and during the test would help. They found that both reduced anxiety, with rosemary being the one prefered by the students. Despite the limitations of this study, this is a harmless and simple way students may potential reduce test anxiety (Holist Nurs Pract 2009;23:88-93).
